A "Phreeque Show" is an exhibition of rarities, human rarities to be exact, also the name of a website dedicated to old images and Bio's of the so-called "Freaks" that used to be displayed at old Cony Island type Carnivals. Growing up i always dreamed of going to a old style carnival, watching a hack magican with a name like " The Amazing such-and-such!" and daring myself to walk under the Freak Show tent. This is old Americana - the type that gives me the feeling that some get from Norman Rockwell paintings and old Coke bottle Santa's. Only for me this is magic, an odd beauty, a far away land filled with wonders. Link after the Pic.
