Holga Camera - Wicked Cool

Tonight one of my co-workers had an intresting box sitting on the desk, when i asked what it was come to find out it was a camera, but not just any camera - i would soon find out. The camera in question is a Holga Camera, the box was clearly from China, but what made it so damn intresting where the examples of the types of pictures it took. Ohh, by the way when this camera first came out it was a toy camera, 15 bucks in local Chinese toy shops. Keep in mind none of these images are photoshoped, the camera does all the work by means of its shortcomings. ( And a bit of knowledge of how to exploit its shortcomings ) Make sure to click these pictures to see the full effect - amazing.




Thing is you can STILL get these cameras in there most basic form for 25 bucks. Seems a whole photography subcuture has sprung about all around this cheap toy that makes amazing artistic photos. Or as Wiki says -

Very cool indeed, You can also buy Modded-Holga Cameras that do some amazing things like, strobe effects, color effects, creates tracers, etc.... and you can get this type for a cool 75 bucks. I don't know about you but im seriously thinking about picking one of these puppies up! Awesome links after the break!
